The SHOW (Small Horses Outstanding Work) Award Program recognizes outstanding miniature horses and their exhibitors. The Program is open to
current Single, Family or Associate VMHC members, who participate at VMHC, 4H or other Virginia miniature horse shows. The program will run from
March through October each year.
Exhibitors and horses participating at national level shows, such as AMHA, AMHR or WCMHR, will be honored on the VMHC website but will not be
included in the VHMC SHOW Award Program.
Points will be awarded as follows:
Place 1st 2nd 3rd 4th 5th 6th 7th 8th 9th 10th Reserve Champion Grand Champion Supreme Champion
Points 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 3 5 10
Example: A horse that takes 1st place in Senior Mares A, is also named Grand Champion Mare A and Supreme Champion Halter Horse A, would
receive 25 points, (10 + 5 + 10).
Points will be accumulated based on exhibitor or horse performance. Multiple horses can be shown by and will count towards exhibitor awards.
Multiple exhibitors may show the same horse. Year End Show Awards will be presented to:
Outstanding Youth Exhibitor A Outstanding Youth Exhibitor B
Outstanding Adult Exhibitor A Outstanding Adult Exhibitor B
Outstanding Miniature Horse A Outstanding Miniature Horse B
Rules
• In order to be considered for year-end exhibitor show awards, an exhibitor must be a current member of VMHC
• In order to be considered for year-end horse awards, horses must be owned or leased by a current VMHC member
• Youths will be classified as being under the age of 18 as of January 1 of current year.
• All points must be turned in on a VMHC Year End Show Points Record form. The forms are available via email, myarkfarm@aol.com or the
VMHC website.
• Point Records may be turned in after each show or may be turned in at one time. All point records must be received by December 1 or they will
not be added to the tabulation.
• Incomplete record reports may not be tabulated, until proper information is received.
• Points may be accumulated in halter, obstacle, driving, hunter, jumper, liberty, costume, or fun classes.
